LEAD Behaviors
This program teaches employees how to build healthy work relationships by leveraging 30 easy-to-remember values. It was commemorated with a kickoff event with a full suite of touchpoints rolled out over 2 years. My roles: Marketing and creative lead, creative director, design and production execution, video collaboration
THE BRIEF
There's inconsistent adoption of the LEAD principles across the company. Some employees aren't aware they exist whereas others live our principles every day. Some have even developed their own materials and learning curriculum. This program will level-set all employees around our values and how to bring their best selves to work each day. Develop a colorful, on-brand and flexible design that will last several years. Look for opportunities to streamline and modernize content from existing materials.
RESEARCH
As both the Marketing and Creative lead, I gathered existing materials and evaluated the content. I hired a copywriter to streamline content and use "plain speak" so that principles were memorable. Additionally, I advised on marketing assets and led the design team through brainstorms, mock-ups and concept development.
STRATEGY & DEVELOPMENT
Because the audience was global and the content was dense, we needed a simplified yet engaging asset plan and design strategy. This visual system was influenced by toy blocks many of us had as children, symbolizing learning and going back to basics. The clean and simple visual system was bold and memorable, made complex topics approachable and was easy to adapt.
Assets
For kickoff event: Stage backdrop, posters, LCD screens, training packet, foldable booklet, lanyard, presentation templates
In-office materials: Email templates, LCD screens, table top flip book, videos and video assets, intranet microsite graphics, townhall presentation templates
RESULTS
The launch successfully energized employees and relationships improved. Employee engagement scores increased significantly over the next two quarters. Additionally, we were honored with a Graphic Design USA In-House Design Award for the visual identity and overall program.
